Arizona vs. Colorado
This is the hard one. Let's see, Colorado has a great graphic symbol on a blue-white-blue tricolor. Arizona has a stylised sunrise/sunset- can't tell which, and a copper star. Arizona, but just barely.
California vs. New Mexico
New Mexico might be the best. California, while historic, and better than almost 90% of the state flags out there is still no competition.

Colorado, I like Arizona's copper, but I'm a big fan of Colorado's flag. I also disagree with the "corporate logo" idea. I understand it, I just don't agree.
New Mexico, California is iconic and, as other have said, very historical, but whenever possible, I'm voting against the flag with words on it.
AK - no contest. (Although, for the record, the "intestines" on the MP flag are a garland of flowers. Some kind of white flower, I'm guessing.)

AZ - like others, this seems to be the closest personal decision, but a lot of people seem to be going with "Arizona, but just barely", and I think the final numbers won't really bore out how close it actually was. I'll be sad to see whoever loses go home.
NM - California has a very nice flag, but NM's is simple, and evocative of the area. Considering its 55 brethren (of other state and territory flags), that's saying a *lot*
