The Bracket |
The Rules: Anyone can play. For each of the pairs of flags pitted against each other, simply indicate your favorite. Explication, derision, and/or analysis will not affect the scoring, but is nevertheless encouraged. Each winner will of course advance to the second round.
In the first round only, you may select one of your six preferred flags as especially favored; for that flag only, your vote counts double.
East Regional Voting Deadline: 11:59 p.m., Friday, March 4.

ReplyDeleteNew Hampshire, because a ship looks better than a tree with cow (or whatever that animal is).
ReplyDeleteWest Virginia, because that blue border is at least unique. Delaware's colors just seem kind of washed out.
New York, because the white on Massachusetts' has an "I surrender!" feel.
D.C., no contest, it's the only one in this round that isn't a seal on a background color. Even if you change the background, it's still boring.
Virginia, because it is the only flag with a half-naked woman on it.
Pennsylvania, at least on PA's flag, the horses look like they're doing something. The CT grapevines are just growing, I guess.

Vermont - Both VT and NH look kind of cartoony, but I'll VT the win for the stag.
ReplyDeleteDelaware, because the chick on the right has a great hat
New York, because hot chicks over Squanto any day
DC - finally a simple flag without all the scribbly detail
Virginia - half-dressed hot chick wins
Connecticut - love those dollar sign trees
"Connecticut - love those dollar sign trees"
ReplyDeleteThose aren't trees. Those are grape vines.

I forgot my extra vote thing goes to DC
ReplyDeleteVT - but both are bad.
ReplyDeleteDE - again, both bad, but DE's is slightly more distinctive
MA - man, these are hard to pick between two evils!
DC (x2) - no question, always has been one of my faves.
VA - "two evils" choice again
PA - but yet again, pretty much a coin flip.
Can't wait until the east round is finished
